Overview

The key concept in this section is that most of the problems we see in America today are merely symptoms of a disease. We must not waste effort treating symptoms; we must get directly to the cause of the disease.

In Tyranny's Birth, we assert that the root cause of America's problems is a government no longer bound by the chains of the Constitution. Three-fourths of federal government is illegal. Most politics today attempts to treat the symptoms of unlawful government, igrnoring the disease. Donkeys and elephants spend our time quibbling over the details of Obamacare while America bleeds to death on the table. Once we are clear about the disease, we can focus our efforts on finding a cure: enforcing the Constitution, by putting Teeth in the Tenth Amendment.

Teeth in the Tenth. That is our cure. For a century of socialism and government corruption, AmericaAgain! is the prescription.

Consider the three planks of the Tea Party movement: Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets. We can treat the disease by Enforcing Constitutionally Limited Government. Repealing the 16th Amendment and outlawing any tax on wages and salaries would leave federal revenues still at 1997 levels, far more than sufficient to fund all enumerated federal powers. With federal revenues reduced to a fraction of the present tsunami, Fiscal Responsibility would have to follow; you can’t have what you can’t pay for. Today, 75% of federal spending is illegal, according to the U.S. Constitution. Restore constitutional bounds to government's spending and Fiscal Responsibility inevitably results.

In the same way, all 'unconstitutional' federal regulation would be declared what it really is – illegal. Most federal regulation falls into that category. Freeing ourselves of illegal federal regulation will eventually result in Free Markets.

We'll briefly touch on unlawful aspects of federal government here. Congress' crimes are too numerous to list here, but a number of books cover this topic in detail. Most of us need little convincing that the federal government has far overstepped its constitutional bounds; we simply want to bring to your attention the wide range of American careers that have come to depend on the current corrupt practices.

Parasites and Predators

Read Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, listing the 17 enumerated powers of federal government. Now consider all of the departments and programs of the federal government. Notice the Constitution does not authorize the departments of Agriculture, Housing and Urban Development, Labor, Health and Human Services, Energy, Veterans Affairs, Interior, Commerce, the EPA, NASA, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, TARP, jobs programs, Food Stamps, Unemployment Compensation, Child Nutrition and Tax Credits, Supplemental Security for the Disabled, Student Loans, and many more? Out of a $3.9 trillion budget, about 75% is spent on such illegal departments and programs.

Consider all of the beneficiaries of this illegal spending; those who receive funds, and the bureaucrats that work for these programs. Hundreds of thousands of pensioned federal employees. Millions of dependent citizen beneficiaries. Millions of employees of businesses and corporations providing goods and services to those programs and beneficiaries.

This is the socialist stream: wealth distribution from the American people through the government and back to the American people. The middle man is the federal bureaucrat. Shrewd businessmen take their cut from the productive wealth skimmed off the American people, laundered through federal government. Morally and legally, these contractors are dealing with organized crime – and they know it. Socialist idealists view the federal goverment as a beneficent force, but it is only breeding parasites and predators.

The only way to save America’s collapsing economy is to allow productive Americans to keep the fruit of their labors, cut out bureaucrats in the middle, and allow the Invisible Hand of the free market to do its work.

Sacred Cows

In the previous section we listed many illegal federal departments and programs, and your favorite government program may be on that list. Perhaps you received a student loan, or perhaps a loved one benefits from Medicare, Medicaid or receives a disability check.

It takes moral character to stop doing what is illegal, even when it may be painful. Our government extracts money from We The People and it uses 75% of its revenues illegally – for things nowhere allowed to government in the Constitution. Law enforcement is often difficult, and some criminal lifestyles become quite comfortable over time. They are still wrong.

As Alexis deTocqueville reported in the early 1830s, most things provided by socialist government in America today were once provided by family members, churches, and neighbors. Now, Americans have come to expect socialism as a right, so our economy –– like every other socialist economy –– is collapsing.

If you cannot bear to sacrifice your particular sacred cow, all you have to do is pass a constitutional amendment to add that department or program to the powers of federal government. If you like that socialist program, make it legal!

As for us, AmericaAgain! intends to enforce the law. With the U.S. Dollar and our balance of trade collapsing around our feet, law enforcement is no longer an option. It’s time for AmericaAgain!.

Fiat Money and The Federal Reserve

The U.S. Constitution is clear; the several states may not make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts. One of the powers granted to Congress is the power To coin Money and punish counterfeiting.

Look at today’s dollar bill; more properly, Federal Reserve Note. A piece of printed paper issued by a private banking cartel, over which Congress has no oversight. These pieces of paper are not backed by gold or silver and they’re not issued by the federal government. Every Federal Reserve Note in your wallet or purse is counterfeit; as bogus as Monopoly money. The very existence of Federal Reserve notes is a crime against the highest federal law in America. Adding insult to injury, the private bank cartel prints its counterfeit paper, then loans it to the U.S. government, charging us interest on it. Congress is willfully allowing continuation of this multi-trillion-dollar criminal racketeering scheme.

There are numerous books written about the Federal Reserve; we’ll not go into detail about this mega-crime. As you follow the current Fed plan to monetize national debt through ‘quantitative easing’, realize that the Fed is again destabilizing world markets and destroying our nation's credit. Every member of Congress is complicit.

Americans cannot save for retirement due to the inflation caused as 'the Fed' cartel prints more counterfeit bills. The future of the U.S. Dollar is dependent on a crime cartel, and on the corrupt presidents and members of Congress who willfully look the other way. There is no larger criminal enterprise on earth than this, and its flip-side, the Congress' IRS check-skimming sheme, designed to siphon off liquidity created by the worthless new paper.

AmericaAgain! is hard at work on this critical national security issue. We need the support of those who seek to end or to audit the Fed. Our plan is to pass state legislation leading to our later action forcing Congress to restore Constitutional tender. AmericaAgain! needs boots on the ground to make this happen, so please join us in our efforts.

State Sovereignty

Arizona recently passed SB1070 as an attempt to curb the invasion of a sovereign state by foreign nationals. Congress is given the power and duty to repel Invasions and any sovereign state has the right to defend itself. The Obama administration’s Department of Justice filed a federal suit against Arizona, but the executive branch has no power granted by the Constitution to do so, nor does any inferior federal court have the jurisdiction to hear the case.

This is one of many instances of our federal creature violating the Constitution and violating State sovereignty. Thus far, the State of Arizona has not contested this lawless federal act, nor has the U.S. Supreme Court issued a mandamus to the inferior federal court to pass the case up. According to Article 3, Section 2 Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution, the Obama administration had no standing to file the case, and the federal court had no jurisdiction. By law, only the U.S. Supreme Court has jurisdiction

Summary

With the federal government spending your tax dollars on 75% illegal activities, and only 25% legal ones, it would take an entire library to document it. We have briefly touched on only a couple of key issues. The Tea Party has arisen in response to these and a multitude of other issues. The important thing to note is that these pressing problems of our day have one root cause: the broken chains of the U.S. Constitution.
